Visit Bodnant Garden. Landscaped over 150 years and bequeathed by Lord Aberconway (of the McLaren family) to the National Trust in 1949, Bodnant is one of Wales’ most beautiful gardens. Laid out in 1875, its 32 lush hectares unfurl around picturesque Bodnant Hall, the McLaren's gracious late-18th-century pile. (This is a National Trust attraction).
Enjoy some free time to explore Wales' biggest seaside resort, Llandudno, which straddles a flat peninsula, with long sandy beaches on either side.
Visit the small town with long name. The longest town name in the UK in fact, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch or Llanfair PG for short. Take the opportunity of a photostop on the train station platform.
Enjoy a scenic tour of the Snowdonia National Park with its stunning rugged mountain trails to its coastal paths to historic train lines. It boasts vast areas of natural beauty and unique scenery. It is known as Eryri by Welsh a name that can be translated as “the place of the eagles”. Covering 838 square miles it is one of the three natural parks found in Wales and the oldest one, being designated as one in 1951.
